 Do what you can to make the area accessible as possible. If that's beyond your capabilities, make sure you let the excavating company know ahead of time what obstacles they may face. You should also move anything on the property that will be in the way, if at all possible. 

 We handle calling  to mark out the utilities. Any private utilities (dog fences, private electric lines, etc.) should be marked by the homeowner if possible. Communicate with your excavation company ahead of time to determine who will arrange having the utilities marked. 

We have knowledgeable staff that will make the right call. We don't want to jeopardize the lives of our employees, your job or our equipment.  

 Some neighborhoods have stipulations in place that make notifying your neighbors of any planned construction mandatory. Even if this is not this case for you, it never hurts to give your neighbors a courtesy call to let them know what to expect.
